Precautions For Installing GRP Grating

1. Due to its low density and light material, FRP gratings can easily float when installed in areas with high groundwater levels. Anti-floating measures such as setting up piers or rainwater runoff diversion must be considered.
2. During construction such as opening tees on installed FRP gratings and repairing pipe cracks, completely dry conditions similar to those in the factory are required, and the resin and fiber cloth used during construction need 7-8 hours to solidify, while on-site construction and Repairs are generally difficult to meet this requirement.
3. Existing underground pipeline detection equipment mainly detects metal pipelines, while non-metallic pipeline detection instruments are expensive. Therefore, the fiberglass grating cannot be detected after it is buried. Other subsequent construction units can easily dig and damage the pipeline during construction.
4. GRP grating has poor UV protection ability. Surface-mounted FRP grating delays the aging time by making a 0.5mm thick resin-rich layer and UV absorber (processed in the factory) on its surface. Over time, the resin-rich layer and UV absorber are destroyed, affecting its service life.
