There are many ways to fix the connection between FRP pipes and pipes. Butt connection is a more common method. So how to connect FRP pipes?
1. Wrapping and docking
This street form consists of aligning two pipes and then wrapping them with resin-soaked increasing fiberglass pipes of different sizes to the appropriate thickness and width. This kind of joint has good sealing performance and can withstand large internal pressure. It is usually used to connect straight pipes, elbows, tees and tapered pipes.
2. Expanded socket butt joint
The designs of such joints are varied. One end of the pipe is usually made into a bell-type flare, and the next pipe is inserted into it, usually sealed with a round rubber gasket, so this method is sometimes called an "O-ring" joint.
3. Casing connection
A sleeve with a diameter slightly larger than the pipe diameter is used. The inner surface is coated with clay. The outer ends of the two FRP pipes are also coated with clay. Then the two FRP pipes are inserted into the sleeve. The clay can be used after solidification.
4. Hose joint docking
This kind of joint just puts a rubber casing at the opposite end of the two pipes. The ends of the casing are hooped with stainless steel bands and tightened with screws.
