Fiberglass grating can be laid by special equipment modified from tractors or automobiles, and is generally laid manually. Each roll of fiberglass grating has orange and blue marks on both ends of the paper tube. Before starting to lay, the rubber surface should be facing downwards and make sure that the above-mentioned mark colors are at one end to facilitate construction without laying the rubber surface. wrong. When laying the FRP grating, it should be kept flat, taut, and aligned on both sides. You can use a level to level it so that the FRP grating has effective tension. After it is laid, it should be rolled over with a clean steel wheel roller. The fiberglass grating is clean, bright and colorful.
Commonly used fiberglass gratings have two types: with self-adhesive glue and without self-adhesive glue. Those with self-adhesive glue can be laid directly on the flat base, while those without self-adhesive glue are usually fixed with stainless steel snap rings and steel nails. Ordinary road sections use fiberglass gratings without self-adhesive glue. The materials required for fixation are:
① The 50×50×0.3mm fixed stainless steel snap ring is required to be flat and not warped, and the periphery should be chamfered;
② 2-inch steel nails.
When laying FRP grating using fixed steel nails or stainless steel snap ring method, first fix one end of the fixed snap ring and steel nails on the substructure that has been spread with adhesive layer asphalt. The steel nails can be hammered or shot into the structure. Then tighten the grille longitudinally and fix it in sections, with the length of each section being 2 to 5m. It can also be segmented according to the spacing between shrinkage joints, and the steel nails can be positioned at the joint gaps. It is required that when the grid is tightened, the glass fiber is in a straight and tensioned state both vertically and horizontally.
The overlap of FRP grating is longitudinal overlap, the overlap width is not less than 20mm, and the transverse overlap width is not less than 15mm. The longitudinal overlap should place the previous one on top of the latter one according to the asphalt paving direction. When fixing, do not nail the steel nails to the FRP grating, and do not use a hammer to directly hit the FRP grating. If the steel nails are found to be broken or the snap ring is loose after fixing, it needs to be re-fixed. After the fiberglass grating is laid and fixed, it must be moderately rolled and stabilized with a rubber roller roller to ensure that the fiberglass grating is firmly bonded to the original road surface.
In actual construction, some construction units spread fiberglass grating directly after spreading adhesive layer oil, and then roll it with a roller. The effect is better, and the fiberglass grating is not easy to wrinkle. In the actual operation process, the construction quality has a great influence on the future use effect of FRP grating.
