The conventional spray tower structure is summarized as follows:demist layer, spray layer, Packing layer, inspection window.
Defogging layer(demist layer): Generally separated by a grid plate, filler is placed on top, and the height of the filler layer can reach 500mm. The standard configuration of spray tower mist layer filler adopts Φ50 white multi-faceted balls.
Spray layer: It is composed of spray pipes and nozzles. The density of spray pipes and nozzles is set according to the diameter of the spray tower. Using high-efficiency nozzles, the spray is even and the flow rate is large and not easy to clog.
Packing layer(filler layer): It is a mass transfer device where packing is placed above the mist removal layer and spray layer as a contact member between the gas and liquid phases. The main fillers include multi-faceted hollow balls, Raschig rings, etc. A filler support plate is installed at the bottom of the filler layer, and the filler is stacked on the support plate; a filler pressure plate is installed above the filler to prevent it from being blown by the updraft. The spray liquid of the spray tower is sprayed from the top of the tower to the packing through the liquid distributor and flows down along the surface of the packing.
Inspection Window: the main function is to observe the operation of the spray tower and replace the filler and repair the nozzle.
In addition, circulation water tank, circulation pump is also an important part of the spray tower.
