① Before construction of FRP pipes, the appearance and size should be inspected and accepted according to the factory certificate.
② The pipeline installation drawing is the basis for the pipeline installation project, the laying of FRP/PVC pipes (including connection form, coordinates, elevation, slope, slope direction, etc.) support, the connection of FRP/PVC pipes to equipment and pipeline accessories, and the installation of pipeline accessories. The location, support, etc. should all comply with the design drawings. If there are any changes, they must be negotiated with the design unit.
③ For pipeline installation, pipe accessories can be installed sequentially from one end of the pipeline to the other end, and brackets or supports can be installed according to the pipe sections divided by the pipeline installation diagram (temporary supports must be provided during the installation process if necessary). When lifting pipelines, protective measures must be taken on the outer wall surface, and direct contact with the wire rope is prohibited to avoid local stress.
④The connection point of FRP pipe is only allowed in the straight pipe part. The distance between the butt welding connection point and the edge of the pipe support should be greater than the outer diameter of the pipe and not less than 100mm; the distance between the socket connection and the edge of the pipe support should be greater than 150mm.
⑤ There are three types of pipe connection structures: socket connection, flange connection (welded ring loop flange connection and composite flat welding flange connection), and butt welding connection. In this project, the installation method will be determined according to the specific requirements of the design documents.
⑥ Installation workers engaged in welding must hold a welder certificate, be familiar with the adhesive properties of FRP/PVC pipes and their installation methods, and have skilled PVC welding capabilities.
⑦ Before the pipe is connected by socket, the dirt on the inner wall of the PVC pipe at the joint should first be removed, and then the socket plug should be inserted into the socket. The socket should not have defects such as skew, cracks, etc. PVC welding can only be carried out after the socket depth is reached.
⑧ The socket part should be reinforced with FRP. Apply a layer of R glue evenly on the reinforced area. The coating thickness should be uniform and no leakage or bleeding should be allowed. Then wrap it with a layer of glass cloth, apply unsaturated resin, wrap it with glass cloth, and repeat until until the thickness reaches the requirement.
⑨ When the socket installation fails and needs to be repaired, the socket plug and socket must be remade, and used socket inserts must not be used.
⑩ When the flange is connected to the pipe, both the inner and outer surfaces must be welded to the pipe. The inclination between the flange surface and the axis of the pipe should be less than or equal to 1/100 of the outer diameter of the pipe. The flange connection should be strictly aligned, and the maximum allowable axial deviation should not be greater than 2mm. The method of tightening bolts should not be used to eliminate skew. Tighten the bolts in two steps, the first time tightening evenly and symmetrically, and then tightening the bolts again.
